Hi,
I tried using mew on XEmacs 21.5 (beta6) i586-pc-win32 build using
MSVC 6.0 compiler. I get an error when I type 'mew'. On
debug-on-error set, I get the following message:
-- Error message begin --
Signaling: (wrong-type-argument char-or-string-p nil)
byte-code("..." [str n list throw member] 3)
mew-member-case-equal(nil (nil))
mew-buffer-message()
mew-window-configure(#<buffer " *mew hello*"> (1 0))
mew-hello()
mew-init()
mew(nil)
call-interactively(mew)
command-execute(mew t)
execute-extended-command(nil)
call-interactively(execute-extended-command)
-- Error message begin --
I think the package is not the latest. I have a version which is
3.0.53 and the one supplied is 1.94.2. Please update the package with
the latest.
with regards,
dhruva

I don't mind updating MEW, but it won't be to 3.0.53 because that is
the development version. The latest release version is 2.2. I'll
look at it sometime after the next Sumo packages are released.
