Hello
In another question concerning auctex. The new auctex release contains
preview-latex as part of it, hence the xemacs-pkg provided by the
auctex maintainers, in the lisp directory, there are
TWO directories, namely auctex and preview
That is
PREFIX/lisp/auctex
PREFIX/lisp/preview
Is this ok to have such a structure for the `official' auctex-pkg

There are no preview subdirectories whatsoever. However, there is one
problem yet: "info/dir" should not be there. This is an error in the
Makefile and I'll presently remove it.

Of course as I did with auctex-11.82-pkg.tar.gz
I generated it following the advice of Ralf:
Unpack AUCTeX 11.81 in an existing and configured AUCTeX tree. Suppose
the tree is below ~/auctex. You should then have
~/auctex/auctex-11.81. In ~/auctex execute
make xemacs-package FTPDIR=~/tmp TAG=11.81

Of course as I did with auctex-11.82-pkg.tar.gz
auctex-11.82-pkg.tar.gz, if generated in that manner, will likely
contain one file too many, namely info/dir. This has been fixed since
then in the Makefile and has to be removed manually from the package
for 11.82 if you are generating it yourself. Sorry for that.
Apart from that, the stuff should be quite the same as the finished
package.
