This is something I would like to do.
For everyone on xemacs-beta that doesn't know, Emacspeak kicks serious
ass. Raman was kind enough to get me a dectalk express when I was helping
get Emacs/W3 working with it, and I was hooked for months and months. Then
work called, then he asked for it back. :)

The only analog that Emacspeak has is a screen reader, but that doesn't do
it justice. The 'speech-enabled-desktop' that raman talks about in his
documentation is really the only way to describe it.
Now that ViaVoice Outload is available for free, I can get addicted again.
For laptop use, it is truly phenomenal. You can turn your backlight off
and really confuse the people on the plane, while doubling or tripling your
battery life.

Anybody who's got a linux box should really try it out. I've yet to get it
back up and running on my Vaio, but will have to fix that before my next
trip.
