I tried disabling (display-time) just in case that was the problem but I still get xemacs: X Error of failed request: BadFont (invalid Font parameter) Major opcode of failed request: 55 (X_CreateGC) Resource id in failed request: 0x6800018 Serial number of failed request: 154 Current serial number in output stream: 159 ( times a bunch - Resource ID and Serial Number both increment by one several times ) make-frame-on-tty works fine ( trying to figure out problems with my gnuclient/gnuserver ) and 21.1.x work fine aside from some crashes in the 14's display code with the cvs gnus.
