Couldn't you at the very least make this configurable. Personally I
would want any XEmacs to look as much the same as possible regardless
of the platform I use. i.e. I prefer XEmacs style compliance over
windows style compliance[1].
I do not know whether there was a lot of discussion before on the NT
list but I can remember some poor XEmacs NT coder being 'coerced' by
us unix folks into coding right-aligned menus for this reason so it
seems silly to remove it again now.

[1] Adding to that: at least on the surface it seems windows style
changes with every release of a new MS office version. If you were
porting to the mac the situation would be different.
