The info and elc files are back in the core tar file. I'm sure
this accounts for almost all the size increase.
Yup. In 21.2.19 the -info tarball is 1.5MB and the -elc tarball is
.79MB.
If having these put into the core is a problem I will take them back
out.
If you have a problem with the size and you are living in an area with
highly expensive telecommunications, your vote counts for more.
