I tried to use the "Help->Send bug report..." menu item to send this.
It asked for a Subject and then said, "Search failed ^----------$".
So that's a bug in addition to the one reported below. As I type
this, my compose buffer has a line with 7 dashes following the header
lines. The "Send bug report..." function is looking for 10 dashes,
so no surprise that it failed. Dunno where to look to fix this.
I assume that it was going to construct a standard bug report,
probably including the XEmacs version I'm running, and perhaps the OS,
so I'll do that manually here:
XEmacs 21.5 beta5 "bok choi"
Linux 7.2
XFree86 4.2.0
Anyway, the real bug is that when I execute customize-variable, XEmacs
crashes with a segmentation fault. This is repeatable, and it doesn't
seem to matter what variable I supply as an argument to
customize-variable. If there is something I can do to provide more
information, (strace, core dump, whatever) I'd be happy to do it.
This didn't happen with XEmacs 21.4.
