Motif/lesstif no. Gtk or Qt (or both if the Qt licensing weren't so
fucked) are preferable.
Both. Qt licensing says only free for freeware. If kde wins
the battle for the desktops, I'd like us to have the qt behind us. If
the Gnome people (would stop writing irc clients) would start to
realize the importance of a lightweight office suite, then they might
be farther ahead.
On a secondary note, the developer of Maxwell said in email
that they'd be releasing the source code real soon now under GPL. If
anyone wants wp functions, Maxwell's got them and has them in a neat
Unixy way. Don't know if any of the code would be useful in setting
up a wp inside XEmacs.
