Ar an dara lá is fiche de mí Bealtaine, scríobh Raymond Toy:
On my ancient Solaris 8 system, lucidatypewriter doesn't appear
to have
a (bitmap?) italic/oblique version.
Right. That’s why XEmacs defaults to another font, of the same size, for
italics.
(font-instance-name (face-font-instance 'default nil 'ascii))
=>
"-b&h-lucidatypewriter-medium-r-normal-sans-12-120-75-75-m-70-iso8859-1"
(font-instance-name (face-font-instance 'italic nil 'ascii))
=> "-misc-fixed-medium-o-semicondensed--13-120-75-75-c-60-iso8859-1"
This makes it less useful for me because my (even older) font-lock
settings use italics for comments and such. (At the time I set this up,
color schemes didn't show up very well for the different machines I was
using, so I punted and use bold, and italic, with a touch of color here
and there.)
Ray, who is trying to build 21.5.28 to see what all the fuss is about. :-)

more into contact with civilization, Dobrinton was bitten by a dog which was
assumed to be mad, though it may only have been indiscriminating. (Saki)
