Well, I'll concede on Motif, which drives me nuts every time I have to
type into one of its application's text fields generally.
Neither gtk nor Qt are parts of Unix.
None of these libraries has achieved the kind of dominance that would
warrant making the change, IMHO.
Also, we're not really a Motif app. If we would follow more of
Motif's UI standards, than I'd say go with it (WHEN linking against
Motif). But XEmacs has _Emacs_ keybindings otherwise very different
from how anything else in the world works nowadays. If we're not
ready to change all the rest of the keybindings, then I don't see why
we should change that particular bit of behavior.
I expect users coming from PCs raised on any of its editors or word
processors would have far more serious problems than this single
keybinding.
