I can't really say much about motif itself and the motivation behind its
graphical elements. Does anyone know, who the original artist is anyway?
The window doesn't appear to be an XEmacs frame. There's no
visible
modeline, and usually the text starts at the left edge.
Which would be way too detailed for an icon anyway.
And what is the big red dot supposed to be?
Ever since I started using XEmacs, I have asked myself the same
question. It is perhaps a drop of the lifeblood that went into
development of XEmacs :-)
Those who can't do, criticize. Sorry about that.
No problem. I have not personal attachment to this icon. It is not even
my artwork after all. At some point, I guess I was just bored and
annoyed by the gray "3D" Motif lookalike (that was part of the original
icon) button on top of my "3D" FVWM (perhaps I was still using MWM?)
button, or whatever I was using at the time. I basically just eliminated
the button and made the drop shadow translucent, so it would work with
different colored backgrounds. And it was created before I had kids...
