Hello!
I use Debian Woody on a i386 Linux box. I encountered that dired hangs
after pressing "m" whenever the locales in /etc/profile are set to
"de_DE" (yes, a German user) via "LC_ALL=de_DE; export LC_ALL". As
soon
as I set LC_TIME=C, dired works fine again.
