I'm still seeing the problem detailed in the attached msg - but I'm not so sure any more that it's related to virtual desktops - it also happens right after I save a buffer it's very strange - once it starts happening in an XEmacs process, it keeps happening sporadically (beep.... beep beep.... beep......... beep....) no one else sees this? anything I can do to help find the cause aside from doing a binary search in my .emacs to see which of my customizations might be triggering it? -- John A.
