Because that doesn't fix the crash. However, when also using
--with-system-malloc (which prevents from using GNU malloc), I get a lisp
backtrace this time:
I have experienced the same crash. However, I can run
XEmacs fine at my modified working copy. But it does crash
when I reconfigure it from another directory and build it
again.
It seems to me that somthing is going wrong with unexec. I
doesn't crash if I run it with
./temacs -nd -batch -l ../lisp/loadup.el run-temacs
I think all of as experiencing this crash is runinng Debian
woody. Since I cannot build XEmacs 21.2.32 and 21.2.31 on
my machine, I think libc or some library is at fault.
