When Lars first suggested these functions, I asked why he didn't

use the existing `eolp' and `bolp' functions. Thus, the names
confused _me_, no matter what the logic behind them is.
Well, that's one of the reasons why I asked you to join the XEmacs beta
list when I became XEmacs maintainer. I'm very sorry that you and Kyle
came (back) in somewhat after things got moving again. Many of the
mistakes I made in that period of time have since been corrected and
the rest will get corrected post-21.0[1].
