True.

At this point, all we need to say is (1) [mouse-1] on a tab goes to
that buffer and the doc-strings for (2) `buffers-tab-items' which says
"This is the tab filter for the top-level buffers \"Buffers\" tab.
It dynamically creates a list of buffers to use as the contents of the
tab.
Only the most-recently-used few buffers will be listed on the tab, for
efficiency reasons. You can control how many buffers will be shown by
setting `buffers-tab-max-size'. You can control the text of the tab
items by redefining the function `format-buffers-menu-line'."
and (3) `select-buffers-tab-buffers-by-mode' which says
"For use as a value of `buffers-tab-selection-function'.
This selects buffers by major mode `buffers-tab-grouping-regexp'."
OK, we can prettify it and expand on it a little, but that's really
all there is for basic use.
AFAICT the X resources and other configuration parameters for
appearance change hourly.... That level of detail is going to have to
wait until things stabilize a little more (unless Andy wants to write
them and keep them current).
