This one works with gnu-emacs, but not xemacs. Anyone know why?
It's supposed to just add some font-lock keywords to python mode, but
it seems to override the python keywords instead (only the cython additions
seen below get highlighted, not the original python ones).

What Jerry meant was "have you applied the patch or updated to xemacs
tip?" Ie, this was fixed in the last few days, and doesn't seem to be
in the xemacs-beta Mercurial repository yet.

Are you suggesting to try the xemacs (not beta) repository? Is that
relatively safe for normal everyday use?

Are you suggesting to try the xemacs (not beta) repository?
Not necessarily. You should be able to cherry-pick the relevant
patch from the remote "xemacs" repo onto a local branch.

I tried a fresh hg clone last night on my Mac and had trouble with the
build. It actually installed okay but was missing efs (I thought I already
had all the packages installed). I tried building and installing
xemacs-packages but that gave me other problems. I wound up dropping back
to 21.5.28. I haven't had a chance to examine the problem enough to
actually provide a useful report (I do recall load-path being suspiciously
short). I'll try to install again later this evening or tomorrow and lodge
a more useful report.

I thought he said the patch was not in xemacs-beta, only in the other hg repo
(sorry, I forgot the name).
Then I asked whether this more experimental xemacs hg was relatively safe for
daily use.
