================================================================
Dear Bug Team!
While trying to track down a problem a poster to comp.emacs.xemacs was
seeing with w3, I clicked on Tools -> Internet -> Browse The Web. W3 loaded
up what I imagine is its default home page, showed some text, and printed to
the minibuffer that it was "Enhancing Image ...". Then it dumped huge gobs
of information to standard error, executed an illegal operation, dumped
core, and quit.
I tried to extract the more relevant pieces from the C and Lisp backtraces,
but VM broke, and I imagine either you'll see a broken predecessor to this
message on xemacs-beta, or it'll be spam-trapped. I'm attaching compressed
versions of both at the end of this mail. The C backtrace involved infinite
mutual recursion in print_cons and print_internal; the Lisp backtrace
involved the process-send-region that's called as part of image-normalize.
Bye,
Aidan
