Sorry I haven't been more proactive on this. The end of the semester is
upon me and the writing of tests and grading of homeworks has pushed
lesser concerns aside. :-)
I didn't realize that you were running XEmacs 21.2, Peter. I'm running
an XEmacs 21.1.9 installation, which *may* explain why I cannot
reproduce the problem. Let me build an XEmacs 21.2 this weekend and see
if I can get it to happen then. I will try to copy your installation as
closely as possible. Judging by the kernel version, you're on a RedHat
6.1 system, n'est-ce pas? I just happen to have one of those handy...
