These options all work in 21.5.28 on this machine. Any ideas?

It's a bug in autoconf 2.63. If you regenerate the configure script
with an earlier version, those warnings go away. On the other hand,
even though you get the warnings, it still configures correctly,
doesn't it? At least, it does for me.

That's weird, but it does configure as you say. However, clash
detection does appear
to be really gone. Any reason for that? I didn't see anything about
that in the
release notes, but maybe I just missed it.

Always suspect autoconf first. Always. Can't live with it, can't
live without it.
configure: WARNING: unrecognized options: --with-sound,
--with-dialogs,
--with-widgets, --with-mule, --with-xim, --with-png,

You can avoid this spurious warning by adding
--enable-option-checking=no to your configure command.
The reason I chose to commit the regenerated configure script is there
is a bug in autoconf 2.61 which causes a hang in detection. I
apologize for not mentioning this in the release announcement.
