Add something to the issue to bump its activity so it will show up at
the top of the Recent Issues page. :-) (You can do that in email to
XEmacs Beta by formatting the subject as above -- check it and see!)
Ok. I'll try that out soon. However, I decided to byte-compile the file
and found out that there are quite a few undefined things like:
While compiling eldoc-message:
** variable message-log-max bound but not referenced
While compiling eldoc-display-message-no-interference-p:
** reference to free variable edebug-active
While compiling eldoc-beginning-of-sexp:
** variable err bound but not referenced
** variable err bound but not referenced
While compiling eldoc-symbol-function:
** variable err bound but not referenced
While compiling the end of the data:
** The following functions are not known to be defined:
help-split-fundoc, string-match-p, help-function-arglist
Despite these, eldoc works just fine for me with slime (which is all I ever
use eldoc for).
Also, on a somewhat related issue, what about adding slime as new package?
It works fine with xemacs. I even volunteer to "maintain" it. :-)
Well, once all of the package issues are straightened out, of course.
