AFAICT, they have never been official XEmacs packages. There's a "flim"
in Simon's unsupported area, though. Any chance that those were
installed from your OS vendor's package(s)?
If so, are we missing a mechanism to move the
directories out of the way?
We are missing an "uninstall" target for packages, but I'm not sure if
it would handle this case. You might want to take a look at
`package-admin-delete-binary-package' if it helps or not.
