Okay, so you are expanding the def-edebug-spec macro by hand. Wouldn't it be cleaner to (eval-when-compile (require 'edebug))? Also, you may not have seen my previous message where I suggested this instead: (def-edebug-spec with-parsed-tramp-file-name (stringp symbolp &rest sexp)) That will give you better debugging properties than `t', and will also let you remove the comment about being too stupid. :-)
