Start XEmacs with: 'xemacs > ~/XEmacs.out 2>&1'
the problem is with "xemacs -nw"... i have a typescript file of my
execution, i'm not going to post it as it's over 1.5MB
fetch it at ftp://boffi95.stru.polimi.it/typescript if you like
now i can give you a more datailed report of the issues involved:
1. tell customize to show all specifications for the different
displays
2. wait forever
3. look at top running in another console: xemacs RSS varies wildly,
in an irregular fashion, between 8M and 35M
4. killall -11 xemacs --- no core file, sigh
