I did notice, though, that if I press and hold down ANY button, focus is lost, as indicated by the hollow cursor. Hmm, actually on further experimentation, ANY button that looks like the eudc buttons, including the customize buttons, has the same problem. Yuck! Perhaps someone familiar with the widgets and X can see what's happening. Ray
