Hi Gerhard, c-default-style is defined in lisp\cc-mode\cc-vars.el,
which indicates it's part of the cc-mode XEmacs package.
You should be able to customize the variable after first visiting a
file which will cause cc-mode to be loaded.
xemacs-beta: c-default-style should probably get an autoload cookie?
Upgrading to 21.4.13 is a good idea to pick up the latest XEmacs core
bugfixes.
To get latest cc-mode features and bugfixes you should upgrade your
cc-mode package as follows:
XEmacs <= 21.1
Options->Manage Packages->Add Download
Site->xemacs.org
Options->Manage Packages->List & Install
XEmacs >= 21.4
Tools->Packages->Add Download
Site->xemacs.org
Tools->Packages->List & Install
XEmacs >= 21.5
Tools->Packages->Set Download Site->Official Releases
or
Tools->Packages->Set Download Site->Pre-Releases
Hope this helps,
Adrian
