Normally, I "don't do windows", so I might not know what I'm talking about, but it appears that, once one has done copy-paste between frames, XEmacs no longer processes "SelectionClear" events (via x_handle_selection_clear()) whenever it has a clipboard selection but some other application makes a new clipboard selection. As long as one limits XEmacs' copy/paste operations to a single frame, "SelectionClear" events appear when clipboard ownership changes between applications. Hope this helps; please let me know if any progress is made on this problem.
