Yup. Gnus will not abandon support of the point-at-* functions, but
continue to use gnus-point-at-* aliases, which now resolves to either
point-at-* or line-*-position, depending on which of them are defined.
I'm frustrated by the situation. There was nothing basically
wrong
with the old names, and they've been out there for quite awhile. Oh
well.
At the time I discussed this with RMS, I didn't know that XEmacs had
already included the functions. Mea culpa.
