Long term, we are going to use utf8 for ALL of our files, right?
i hadn't thought about it, but yes, this is a great idea. with the aid of
language tags [yuck!], we could implement utf8 as soon as i implement the
unicode translation tables.
btw could we *please please* change the mail system so that replies to
xemacs-patches go to xemacs-beta NOT xemacs-review? i think kyle was the main
objector, and he's not around any more.
