As far as I understand it, that is not what the sgml-save-dtd function
is supposed to do. Its purpose is to save a compiled version of the DTD
used by the document in the current buffer. That is, visit a file with
a declaration of the strict form of HTML 4.01 at the top, and invoke
sgml-save-dtd from there. I just tried it and it worked like a charm.
Incidentally, since I submitted the patches for psgml, I'd appreciate it
if you would Cc: any further remarks to me. I feel kind of responsible,
even though others should have all the glory for writing the psgml code.
