I've compiled XEmacs 21.4.8/MULE and tried to localize it -- I mean setting up Cyrillic input and output. In X it works, except for clipboard -- I can't paste from XEmacs (I tried to copy both with mouse and with M-w). It seems to completely mess up it, ending with non-alphabetical characters instead of Cyrillic characters -- they're not recoded or trunicated to one non-alphabetical symbol. On the other side, Cyrillic input on ttys seems to be completely broken! On Linux console, that's a vertical line, on rxvt it's... a really strange symbol. But when you do C-z and fg, Russian text does appear and after each symbol is that very symbol. If you move cursor on those, strange symbol goes away, but anyway the file is saved _with_ them.
