Steve Youngs et al,
When I'm trying to rebuild all the packages with a mule-less XEmacs, I
don't get a bbdb package built. I think the reason for this is that
when I run 'make bindist' in the comm sub-directory, I get the following
error message:
Make[1]: *** No rule to make target `/home/acs/tmp/staging/pkginfo/MANIFEST.mew',
needed by `/home/acs/tmp/staging/mew-1.13-pkg.tar'. Stop.
Make: *** [mew/bindist.target] Error 2
I just tried this with a non-Mule XEmacs (21.2.40) and it behaved as
it should have. In other words everything in the comm directory built
fine.
There was a recent change to the toplevel Makefile, do you have it in
your workspace?
./ChangeLog:
2001-01-11 Steve Youngs <youngs(a)xemacs.org>
* Makefile: Proper GNU Makefile quoting. eg change ($(foo),'') to
('$(foo)','')
Is not mew a mule package? I have:
Not exactly. It's one of those quasi Mule packages. It has some
Mule content that should only get built (if (featurep 'mule)).
