copy-region-to-diary-and-add-appt

        Hi

I am looking  for  a function, which   allows  me to  copy  a selected
region, to   a day of my    choice in the  diary  file  and to  add an
appointment  for this entry.  I find  this useful  expecially for mail
messages with appointments.  Does anybody know about this?

BTW, is there a function which allows you to list all the appointments
of a year/month/week?
