 Yes, I would very much like to be able to turn this off.  I find it
 quite annoying because when I have two windows, I see the other window
 move, which catches my attention which breaks my concentration, but
 nothing has really changed. 
I _WONDERED_ what was causing that.  I see this in isearch all the time,
and is very disconcerting.  If the window is split, search, then exit out
of it, and it reshuffles a bit.
