While I'm here, I have noticed that (with xemacs 21.?) the
minibuffer
doesn't seem to scroll horizontally correctly. For example, when using
find-file and the file path name (after completion) is longer than the
minibuffer C-e doesn't make the end of the file name visible. Is this
a bug or do I need to adjust some setting?
I've have now noticed that this effect goes away if "truncate lines"
is not selected. I guess that makes sense but doesn't this imply that
truncate lines isn't very usable? I must be missing something obvious.
One other tiresome question, my system has a large number of fonts
available to X, so many that the font menu is much bigger than the
size of the screen. Is there a fix or workaround for this problem?
If anyone can help on the above problems I will be most grateful,
sorry to waste beta-bandwidth, I won't ask any more questions!
