Thanks for downloading and trying out the pre-release.  In answer to
your questions, didn't the pre-announcement cover both those points?

1. Yes, due to arcanities of the release process, the version number
doesn't get incremented until the actual release.

2. You can download the vc-cc package to get ClearCase support.
