What would that buy? I thought libtool was for building shared
libraries. The only thing close in the XEmacs tree is building as an
external widget. Have more than a dozen people ever even tried it?
Not that I know of. :)
lwlib might be nice as a shared library, or migrating the current lwlib
stuff so that you could just drop in a new liblw.so and it would get a new
'look'. I dunno.
But libtool will eventually migrate to being able to fully support
dlopen'able modules, so this could be used as the basis for some of the
module support. I know jean is working on getting libtool to work on sco
from some of the messages on the mailing list. :)
