Then, it's bad to associate a whole frame redisplay with a function
named `recenter',
Exactly! This is why I coded `center-to-window-line' (look at NEWS.)
This is what I do:
(global-set-key "\C-l" 'center-to-window-line)
Maybe we could have a `refresh' function for the whole frame.
No, recenter has to stay for backward compatibility. Changing its
behaviour would just be too gratuitous.
