It is reporting 'windows-nt'.
Another update - I just found that sometimes it is working correctly.
I'll try to work on narrowing down when it is and when it isn't and/or
what makes it stop working.
Initially, it looks like if I start it from the command-line with a file
name then the file gets :T. But also, after that loading some other
files with c-xc-f (load-file) seems to work for a while and then stops.
It kinda seems like once it has incorrectly loaded a file all other
loads fail from then on.
Hi Cary, watch out for use of crypt or crypt++.
It attempts to support different EOL types, but has some side effects.
One clue for its involvement would be that use see (Dos) displayed in
the modeline.
