I did so this evening.
After updating
Added package `xemacs-devel'
Added package `xemacs-base'
Added package `viper'
Added package `text-modes'
Added package `texinfo'
Added package `prog-modes'
Added package `os-utils'
Added package `mail-lib'
Added package `locale'
Added package `games'
Added package `edit-utils'
Added package `ediff'
I found that xemacs-base is unusable for me.
compile.el causes this error in
(emacs-version)
"XEmacs 21.1 (patch 9) \"Canyonlands\" [Lucid] (i386-pc-win32) of Sun
Feb 27 2000 on ZJ75T"
Signaling: (end-of-file "internal input stream")
load-internal("compile" nil t nil binary)
load("compile" nil t nil)
require(compile)
eval((require (quote compile)))
eval-interactive((require (quote compile)))
eval-last-sexp(nil)
call-interactively(eval-last-sexp)
To reproduce, just put
(require 'compile)
in your .emacs.
I have seen above error before.
It always occurs when I first use
M-x igrep-find
in a newly started XEmacs (also NT native build).
Best regards,
Adrian
