without the fancy interface. All the user really needs to know is
what to download and where to unpack the tar file. Just this is a

FWIW, I agree with what Kyle just said. I've been a happy user of all
the packages for quite a few months, without knowing anything at all
about them (except for --package-path switch to configure). This is a
Good Sign.
