I am forced to use on a 12 inch screen the font:
Emacs.font: -*-courier-bold-r-*-*-*-140-*-*-*-*-*-*
now
Emacs.font: -*-courier-bold-r-*-*-*-160-*-*-*-*-*-*
Does not exist on my system so it is xemacs is displayed with this
setting.
Does anybody know about the courier font in 160?
The adobe-courier bitmap font which is standard on X is available in
sizes of 8,10,11,12,14,17,18,20,24,25 and 34 pixels.
On a 75 dpi display, 14pt is 14 pixels and 18pt is 18 pixels. There
isn't a 16 pixel version, so (unless you are willing to accept scaled
fonts, which look incredibly ugly) you'll have to pick the closest
match, which is the 17 pixel version. However, that's intended for use
as a 12pt font on a 100dpi display; on a 75dpi display you would need
to specify it as:
-*-courier-bold-r-*-*-17-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
