The set-face-stipple thing is mere FSF compatibility junk. As such,
it should probably go to obsolete.el, except that it's not obsolete,
only FSF-compatible.
Since FSF uses x-bitmap-file-path, it would make little sense for an
FSF-compatible function to use something else.
