I've been recomended to ask about it here. Is it possible to have modeline for minibuffer window? Ideally I need modeline in (minibuffer . only) frame. In (minibuffer . only) modeline you can show global xemacs environment, such as use display-time, show current gnus/erc status, or drawing working messages. When using gnus-demon feature, changes in any group will affect only (minibuffer . only) modeline, or using erc's track mode will affect only (minibuffer . only) modeline. I think window local modelines should not be overflowed with additional(actually unrelated to window) information to be more accurate. -- lg
