Hi. i'd like to introduce a layman's question: is it possible that a left click will position the cursor (in usual text mode), or select a link (if clicking on one), and that left button DRAG do the text selecting in ANY mode? i think that this can really match everyone's expectations. middle will still be left for pasting, which is an X-wide standard. it can also be left as an alternative for following links, in modes which do not require pasting, but i agree that left button is the natural thing for anyone, X or MS user, who's not already a seasoned xemacs user. then you'll have your desired consistency too. how 'bout it? -- Itai Ben-Yaacov Ecole Normale Superieure 45, Rue d'Ulm Paris 75005 Tel.: +33-(0)155421487 Email: pezz(a)ens.fr
