Would you be interested in being the maintainer of an XEmacs
package?
Yes, provided the work can be done with Cygwin and Windows.
What we'd need you to do is
(1) watch the SLIME channels and funnel XEmacs bugs to us
I could do that, as I did this week.
(2) watch xemacs-beta and funnel SLIME bugs to the SLIME project
No problem.
(3) update the XEmacs package sources in our CVS repository when new
releases or major bug fixes occur.
SLIME has been changing a lot over the last few months, and most of
the users just stay on top of it with CVS. Peter Seibel has been
shepherding a release to package with his forthcoming /Practical
Common Lisp/ book, but for now regular releases are the exception, not
the rule.
If you'd be interested in doing that, get in touch with Norbert
Koch
<viteno(a)xemacs.org>.
Will do.
