I have just done a cvs update of both XEmacs and the packages for the
first time since the end of June. Both seemed to go extremely slowly,
but, after a few restarts, the packages update did complete. XEmacs
proper, however, stalled during the update of the man directory. I
tried blowing a few of the .tex files away to see if that would break
the log jam (it seemed a good idea at the time) but to no avail. The
update stalls here:
cvs server: Updating lwlib
S-> rename(CVS/Entries.Backup,CVS/Entries)
S-> unlink(CVS/Entries.Log)
cvs server: Updating man
S-> rename(CVS/Entries.Backup,CVS/Entries)
S-> unlink(CVS/Entries.Log)
S-> checkout (/usr/CVSroot/XEmacs/xemacs/man/cl.texi,v, 1.7.2.2, ,
(function))
S-> server_register(cl.texi, 1.7.2.2, , , release-21-2, , )
S-> Register(cl.texi, 1.7.2.2, , , release-21-2 )
I have this in my .cvsrc:
cvs -z3
diff -u
update -P
I issue `cvs update' in the top level directory.
Any ideas?
Yours faithfully,
