You also need all the parent directories. There will be instructions at http://www.xemacs.org/Develop/cvsaccess.html shortly. (These used to be at the old repository host, so they're moving too.) Step 3: If maintainer of record (see comments in file prologues) is not XEmacs Devel Team, contact the maintainer to see how they feel about sharing/passing on responsibility. Step 4: Drop new upstream version in instead of old version. If files have changed, you need to play with the Makefile, if not, probably no problem. Step 5: Build and test, make a binary package, test install, etc. Step 6: If you really want to do this, and maintainer of record is OK with it, send me <stephen(a)xemacs.org&gt; an SSH public key and I'll enable commits for you to that package. If not, do a cvs diff against the old package and mail it to xemacs-patches(a)xemacs.org. If the diff is really large, gzip it. Somebody here will take care of it.
