Because you have a Mule build and a utf-8 locale, and XEmacs doesn't
know about utf-8 fonts (IMO, XFree86 should know how to convert UTF-8
internally to the iso-10646-1 registry, but I guess they don't do that
unless you use the now-deprecated Xutf8* interface). I think Red Hat
added a unicode font to the fontset specs (I didn't add it until
21.4.10, and I'm going to revert it because it's useless and generates
warnings).
We'll look into the completer bug report.
