For what it's worth (if anything): I've started to see *tons*
of
errors of this kind after I last updated the packages.
And then I upgraded my XEmacs core from 21.1.2 to 21.1.13 and they all
(as far as I can see) went away.
Perhaps the byte code is not as compatible between the 21.1.* versions
as it's supposed to be, or something like that?
Problem goes away if the packages are built with XEmacs 21.1.13 (I had
used 21.2.40).
